Hey Jumpers,

  Quick plug here... I wanted to let you all know that the campaign for the latest stanza of my absolutely favorite comic book - MONSTER MATADOR by Steven Prince - just went live here on Kickstarter.

MM is a howling good time... it follows a Matador, in post apocalyptic world, fighting to make life better for his young daughter.

It plays like Danny McBride and Jody Hill made a Santo movie and then gleefully peed on it. It's completely and utterly bonkers, so goddamn smart and funny. I honestly can't recommend it enough.

In this new stand-alone story, the Matador heads into the jungle for a little PREDATOR-esque melee... oh, yeah... and I make an appearence as a shit-kicking monster fighter?

Anyway, this was a first-minute back for me and I HIGHLY recommend you give it a try. You won't be sorry. If you need more reason to dive in, the art was done by Ringo-nominated BANJAX/THE JUMP artist Fabio Alves.

  I just wanted to let you know that my good friends - Hall of Fame comic creator David Baron (BATMAN WHO LAUGHS, JUSTICE LEAGUE) & artist Elisa Wikey - have just brought their all ages book THE COBBLESTONE CHRONICLES to Kickstarter.

His son, Michael, being a huge inspiration to the joy and adventure that is The Cobblestone Chronicles, with David and Elisa pulling many elements from their own childhood.

A GOOD CAUSE: The Comic Jabroni Tribute Collected Edition of THE JUMP 1 & 2!

Hey Jumpers,

A serious one for you here today... I worked with the guys at Lost'n Comics to put together this tribute collected edition of THE JUMP 1 & 2 to honor our dear friend Edwin Ocasio/The Comic Jabroni, a prominent comics YouTuber - and HUGE supporter of mine/other indy dreators - who passed away tragically last year.

ALL PROCEEDS go to Edwin's wife & children. Please consider grabbing one/spreading the word. CHECK IT OUT HERE.

Edwin was very much "one of US," one of the best of us... and it's nice to be able to honor him here/help his family in some small way.

This is a beautiful "perfect bound" (like a TPB) collected edition of both THE JUMP Issue 1 and Issue 2. It's a gorgeous book. It's UBER limited. Signed and hand numbered by me. It's a very unique collectable and you'll be supporting a great cause.

Strap in for tokusatsu action with Suicide Jockeys from screenwriter/Ringo Award-winner Rylend Grant and Source Point Press

Ten years after a catastrophic mission gone awry, Denver Wallace, leader of the Suicide Jockeys – a poor, usually drunken, almost certainly mentally ill crew of monster-fighting, tank-and-aircraft-piloting suckers – must pick himself up off of the proverbial and literal floors, slap his estranged, desperately-fractured team back together and right what once went wrong.

Creator Rylend Grant describes Suicide Jockeys as diverse cast Tokusatsu for the contemporary action movie fan. It’s essentially Voltron meets The Fast and the Furious… with an extra dollop of heart and soul.

The film comparisons flow freely and easily from Grant, a screenwriter by trade, with a decade’s worth of experience penning smart, character-driven action movies for the likes of JJ Abrams, Ridley Scott, Justin Linn, F. Gary Gray, and John Woo.

“Our Zen practice is a major influence on Suicide Jockeys. It’s a big, poppy, action thrill ride, obviously… but we’re also wrestling with some of life’s big and hairy existential questions here. We’re just doing it in a fun, heightened way,” says Grant.

Suicide Jockeys will also feature variant covers from Fabio Alves and Edson Ferreira who were both nominated for Ringo awards for their work on Grant’s much lauded superhero noir Banjax.
